[digiKam-users] Problem dispaying several heic pictures

Dear all,

I have updated to DigiKam 7.7 on MacOS latest version.
Afterwards I have imported several new pictures. For the import I'm using a
sync-tool on my iPhone which copies the pictures into the file system of my
MacBook.
Afterwards I'm launching DigiKam which ist looking into the file system for
new pictures and imports them into the sqlite database.

This workflow is working perfectly until DigiKam 7.6.

With DigiKam 7.7 several pictures are not imported but I get an error
message, that DigiKam cannot access these files. But the majority of
pictures are still running perfectly. And DigiKam is also able to access
the metadata of the pictures.
Simply creating a thumbnail and opening the picture in the editor fails
permanently.
I estimate that 15 % of the new imported pictures are affected.

I removed DigiKam 7.7 and re-installed version 7.6 where everything is
working fine.

Seems to me that this is a bug in the new version.
