[digiKam-users] Digikam is not finding new items anymore

 So I am now using 7.4.0 (the appimage) and it seems that I have to delete my root album after all, as there's no way to edit it that I can see.  Can someone confirm?  I would love to be able to just edit the path of the album rather than delete.  Someone said in 7.4.0 this was possible...had high hopes.  

It's a removable drive that's changed to a larger one, with a different path.  

Anyone out there know what I can do?  Thank you again!

Maybe, maybe not. I don't think so, but I went to something similar,
it had to do which changing hard drives & computers...

My suggestion is what I did:

I went through the timeline, one year at a time > select all > item >
write metadata to selected files. This will either create new xmps or
update the existing ones and do it for the whole catalogue.

Then do your upgrade.

If there's any problem, start from scratch and all the metadata will
be read from the xmps.
