[digiKam-users] Failed to Create Tables in Database -- Mac OS

A digikam user is asking in Digital Photography Review what needs to be done
to fix a "Failed to Create Tables in Database" error.  I've tried to help,
but I'm not a Mac user, neither of us are greatly tech savvy,  and it's like
the blind leading the blind.  Would someone please steer us in the right
direction?  If anyone is a participant at DPReview, I'd appreciate if you'd
help in the Retouching forum.
