[digiKam-users] Searching or filtering grouped items

I'm not certain if this is a bug or there is a way around this.

Starting with a simple group of 2 pictures:

Pic.jpg
  |--  Pic_Edit.jpg

Pic_Edit.jpg is tagged with 'ATag'

Using the filter sidebar or the advanced search on 'ATag' does not
show any results unless I  have already manually "expanded" the group.

Is there a way to allow filtering/searching on grouped items, or is
there a way to show all grouped items without manually expanding each
group?
