How to make a "Presentation" with all the information that is in "Slideshow"

Slideshow and presentation are 2 separate tools which have grow separately.
One use OpenGL, the other one no.

The goal later is to merge both, or at least to make a maximum of
implementation factorized. There are many reports in bugzilla about this
topic.
