[Digikam-users] Export Pictures and Database to a different PC

I have pictures duplicated on laptop and desktop, plus I have a server.
What I do is to synchronise them to the server, so a change on laptop
gets copied to the server when I sync, then to the desktop when I sync
that. For DigiKam everything (pictures, thumbnails and database) is in
the directory that you specify as the album, so transfer is easy. It
can take a little while to start DigiKam after a change as it looks for
new content but it all works fine. You could do this with a straight
sync between two machines, and if it is just a one off to move it all
then just copy the whole directory across.
I do it all on Linux but I am sure you can do the same on Windows
