Hi Martin
this is more or less (can't be precise) what happened to me too (I see
difficulties in installing libkgeomap1). Just one difference with my case
digikam 2.2 from PPA does not work fine as for you.
I have to thank Phillips for the effort in explaining me what in theory
could be possible. I check libraries and file dependency and all seems to be
ok to my (not expert) eyes.
Now that the beta of Oneiric is just on line I think I will upload it and
try to install Digi 2.2 from (K)ubuntu repositories.
