Which version of Digikam? In Digikam 2.0b5 on KDE 4.6.3 on Kubuntu
11.04 I entered a Hebrew caption and it worked just fine. It was even
properly shown with right directionality and the punctuation on the
left, even though KDE and Digikam are in English.
