[Digikam-users] digikam2 dependency openni-utils / philip5 PPA

Openni is optional supported for OpenCV 2.3 during build but as far as I
know not really needed for functionality in Digikam but might be nice for
others who want that usability with OpenCV 2.3. As my OpenCV 2.3 is linked
against OpenNI Digikam will indirectly inherit the problem if your CPU
doesn't support SSE3. I'm looking into an OpenNI update without the use of
SSE3.
I could use some testers that have a computer with Ubuntu 11.04 and a CPU
without SSE3 support who use my Digikam 2 packages. If so let me know and
I'll email you rebuils of the OpenNI packages (about 700 kb) without SSE3
support to try out before I upload them to Launchpad.
Regards,
Philip
