I had the same problem with 500D on Fedora 11. I hacked the 
dcraw_common.cpp in kdegraphics-4.3.3 to include the 500D changes from 
the most recent dcraw. See attached. I rebuilt kdegraphics-4.3.3 with 
the attached file.
