Most of the time, option in tools are groupable (and actually we do this 
nearly everywhere in the filters, either by a groupbox, lines or a toolbox 
widget).
The expander could really make it possible to have the editor window small 
again, so it is also usable on the Asus EEE PC for example. And it looks much 
nicer.. :-)
I think when we redesign the editor, we should really use it everywhere.
Maybe make it default and replace the plainPage we have now?
