And also this would lead to a consistent look&feel.
Right now some filters have the toolbox, some just add widgets, some have 
GroupBoxes to separate settings.

If we would make it a default settings item, we could also consider to add the 
guide color stuff in there. Users who don't use it just collapse this section.

For me it is not about space saving, but much more about readability. And when 
I take a look at the FreeRotation tool now, it is much more visible. Those 
little icons in front of the "headlines" help separating, too.

I guess it is important...
