I think than for 0.9.1, the both informations can be placed in the 
same/current welcome page. It's easy to do. Since you have a svn access, look 
into the file digikam/digikam/welcomepageview.cpp, especially in infoPage() 
method.

All page strings content are here. Feel free to fix/update this page.

After 0.9.1, we can provide differents welcome pages, not only for My Albums 
and My Tags view, but also for My Dates and My Search view.

About Tips of Day, the file to update is digikam/tips. If you can update this 
one before 0.9.1 release...
