Hi Jain! The first thing to do is build calligra, of course :-). The mentor for this project is not around atm, he's on holiday but should be back shortly. As I answered Diego (who is interested in the same idea), the first thing is to investigate the poppler library. The old 1.6 code used xpdf, but that was never a sustainable solution.
