Indeed.. the collection-as-playlist is decidedly not the usability
paradigm Amarok uses when it comes to playing music. This is the most
significant different between Amarok and other music players such as
Juk and iTunes. Amarok favors the paradigm that distinguishes between
the collection (where you browse) and the playlist (where stuff is
played). To change this would alter the fundamental UI philosophy that
underlies Amarok
