UTF-8 tags not working correctly in 2.1.1

Hi,
I’m on Amarok 2.1.1 now and kind of started to enjoy the new version but today after the update to 2.1.1 I tried to add a few new albums to my collection. The tags of those albums were adjusted using EasyTag and stored in ID3v2.4 and ID3v1.x versions both using UTF-8 encoding. This worked fine for albums I added before the update. But for the recent ones every special “real” UTF-8 character just shows up as a question mark (“?”).
At first I thought that EasyTag did not save the tags correctly but an inspection of the mp3 files with hexdump revealed that the special characters were stored correctly.
My locale is set to en.GB_UTF-8 and I’ve done various restarts of Amarok and updates of the collection. I also tried to touch the affected files in order to make Amarok scan them again. But nothing so far worked.
Any ideas what to do or any suggestions on further info I could provide are very welcome! :)
Edgar
