Im not sure about playlist features, but as for the details (assuming your
talking about details about a track) chek out the widgets in Beta3. They cover
pretty much everything that was in 1.4.9 as far as I recall.
The great thing about the widgets, and the new scripting interface, is that
anyone can write a widget to show almost any information they like. We already
have widgets that show the lyrics and wikipedia entries as in 1.4, but the
possibilities are endless.
As for some of the other features, there are some, such as the equalizer, that
we cant implement yet. In this case we are waiting for phonon to give us the
functionality. Other features have been dropped because they have been seen as
too inconsequential to include and just bloat the player. Many of these
features can be implemented as a script if anyone misses them too much ;)
I hope you can find what you are looking for in Amarok 2, and I suggest you try
out Beta 3 as it has moved on a lot from Beta 2.
