if you copy them yes... but it is kinda a waste of space... what I actually do 
is create symlinks to /home/music in my home directory ~/music -> /home/music 
then you just have to make sure that you are both in the same group and all 
files/directories are group/read write-able which is easy enough. or you 
could just copy them to her home directory and then make sure that the files 
match her username/group.

unfortunately a shared db hasn't been a priority.
