"random album" mode gets stuck

That isn't the same problem I am having. In your case, it sounds like it
gets stuck in "repeat track" mode (whether or not you have set it). In
my case, it gets stuck in "repeat album" mode, and it happens after it
has been running fine for a while. It will play several albums,
sometimes a whole day's worth, but sooner or later it gets stuck on one
album, repeating all of its tracks over and over.
