Revert layout change, releasing beta1?

  To put it that way: 1+

  This will let us actually work out the logic more sanely, in stead of simply 
tossing it together more or less on a whim, which is of course all fun and 
games, but not so good when you have something that needs to work so soon as 
the entire 1.4 series would :) So, 2.0 is a good target for something as 
fundamental (ui-wise) as this is :)
