Hah, now I just need to actually test it out and make sure it all still 
works :-)

Btw, we won't quite get to the non-ATF-function time, because of the fact that 
we need to run some extra database queries, extra if conditions, blah blah 
blah.  With extra processing to do you can never make it quite as fast; 
however, that is a serious improvement, and maybe we can still get it a bit 
better.
