Video applet issues + General bug count

Hey there Amarok people,

I just went through the list of regressions / release blockers and one obvious 
problem was the non-functional Video Applet. Simon, could you please have a 
look at the code, if possible? I'm not to fond of going to through the code as 
there seem to be several problems with it. The corresponding bug report is 
here [1].

The other solution, obviously, is to remove it completely and live with the 
consequences (no video output in CV).

On a related side note, as discussed with Myriam:
We really need to get authors to actually maintain their code (as in fixing 
upcoming bugs). We currently have quite some modules that are not maintained 
properly, have loads of bugs and cause a bad UX.

Examples are:
* Ampache Plugin
* Media Devices (especially IPod support)
* Collection browser
* Playlist (Layouts, etc.)

We really have to consider removing features that cause a constant amount of 
frustration while running Amarok. We're currently still trying to get rid off 
the most important regressions from Bugzilla.
