Right. This is unfortunately distro-specific, depending on how that
particular distribution builds MySQL.

On the other hand, this is exactly why we've changed the way that MySQL
is being found -- too many random breakages for various people on
various distros due to different MySQL compilation needs (for example,
on my box libwrap is not needed but libssl is needed; on other boxes,
libwrap may be needed and libgcrypt but not libssl). So we're letting
MySQL itself define those needs, now.
