I am simply answering the question I was asked the same way I was answered
when I brought the issue of non-working <video> support in KDE to the
attention of the qtwebkit developers.

I am well aware of the squabble between Qt Phonon vs KDE Phonon and Phonon vs
QtMultimedia. Phonon vs the entire world... Fortunately for me, that is
something I neither care for nor really care to participate in. I just want a
working HTML 5 video support in kdewebkit which depends entirely on it being
correctly implemented in QtWebKit. How that is achieved is besides to the
point to me personally. Moreover, QtMultimedia 4.7 is most definitely not the
same thing as the one in 4.6.

Anyhow, even if none of the above is true, there is nothing that can be done
to fix this issue at the kdewebkit level. This is along the same lines as the
still missing Java applet support. These things have to be addressed at the
QtWebKit level.

Regards,
Dawit A.
