i forgot to mention, that thing "i may have done to cause the system to freak
out for a minute"... the only thing it could've been was installing
KWalletManager, and changing the password/other settings for my KWallets. I
didn't really do anything else up to that point, and I know KWallet was doing
some kind of config access/write.
