Summary: Rotating using xrandr causes KDE to crash.
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: arrenlex at gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When issuing either of
xrandr -o left
or
xrandr --output LVDS --rotate left

KDE will momentarily repaint in a rotated state (but with panel in the middle,
as in bug 162856), then momentarily repaint with corruption (the bottom 3/4 of
the screen consists of purple lines), and then totally crash dropping me back
to gdm.

I am happy to provide any info you need to debug this.

This is a Toshiba tablet laptop, with intel integrated graphics. Ubuntu
intrepid and KDE 4.2.0 from the
http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-experimental/ubuntu repositories.
