I agree, but UML also comes in handy when you're going to design a 
database. In fact, taking object-relational features into account, you're 
way better off using UML than the entity-relational approach. But anyway, 
it would be nice to have ERDs, because Dia just sucks, but I think that's 
not the point of discussion here ;)
