Bug ID: 340383
Summary: Umbrello freezes and must be killed when importing C++
code using wizard
Product: umbrello
Version: 2.12.3
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: umbrello-devel at kde.org
Reporter: tc at roboticparadigmsystems.com
Umbrello 2.8.5, KDE platform version 4.8.5
On ubuntu 12.04, intel i5
In every attempt to import C++ using provided code wizard both the main window
and the wizard's window freezes and requires me to kill the process.
In few cases the wizard appears to work but even when finished, it is frozen.
Most of the time it freezes when the start import is selected.
I've tried with one, two, and many files. Same result.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open umbrella
2. Code: Code Import Wizard...
3. navigate to an .../include/ directory and select on *.h file
4. select Next
5. Start Import
Actual Results:
Results vary. Most of the time it freeze upon selecting start import button.
The few times it appeared to begin to import files, the logical view was
populated with classes.
The windows that frame the wizard stay up and can be moved around, however, the
contents
of the windows are not updated with obscured by other windows and then exposed.
Expected Results:
I expected the wizard to return control to user and allow me to select more
files or exit the wizard.
