Maybe I just read it badly.  

Maybe this would be more clear:

<li>support added for compressed XMI files (*.xmi.tgz, *.xmi.tar.bz2)(not KDE 3.1)</li>

<li>Umbrello still compiles with KDE 3.1 and 3.2.</li>
