Actually, it works quite well but I don't really use it because loading 
applications is still veeeeery slow.

I tried this but I still end up with libheadings dependencies.  However, 
this is not too complicated to work around.  My concern was that I was 
really missing a library.

So I'm working on 1.1.  However, if I run ./configure directly, I get

If I run Makefile.dist first, everything runs smoothly . . . until I am 
missing something to satisfy a -lfl linker flag.  Do you know what is 
missing?  I guess some KDE parts.  I'll try to fix my system.
