I think it is possible with a command line option (but I dont know which one

anyways... if you only want to see Umbrello in german you can just install the 
language pack for Umbrello, and can then change your global settings to 
German.  you're going to see Umbrello in Deutsch, but since the other apps 
are not translated they will fall back to english.
