Limits

Hello,

 From my experience... I use Tellico to manage some collections. Two 
book collections (2100 and 1000 books), one collection of photographs 
(21000 photographs, and two other small collections.

I don't see here the problem you pointed out. I'm using Tellico 4.1.4 on 
Ubuntu.

It's true that some operations can be relatively slow as everything is 
in memory, but not really critical. One could imagine using databases 
like MySQL or other, but in that case, there could appear other issues.

There are only two situations when delays can become critical :
* exporting data to HTML, it takes something like 4 to 5 minutes.
* opening a big collection after another big collection. I usually close 
tellico and reopen it. Probably a garbage collection issue.

As long as I understood, tellico resizes images, at least .jpeg images, 
but it seems to me that it doesn't resize .png ones.
