Portability options for Android

Well I don't have either. But it was a good test case for using an LLM.
So I tried both with ChatGPT, LeChat and Claude, and the winner is
clearly Claude for me as I could converge much more rapidly to something
usable.

So all the code has been generated by Claude, based on specs I gave and
it took 16 iterations to reach the point I have reached now, which is
for me usable. Far from perfect, but I think could be useful. Drawback,
as I started to speak my native language with Claude, everything is in
french. I'll update that in a next version. But as most what is done is
using the .tc file, once imported using the '+' button, everybody should
be able to use it.

But how ? Well, if you trust me (and Claude) to have done something
more useful than dangerous, you'll find the android viewer at 
https://github.com/bcornec/tellicoviewer/releases/tag/1.1.16

You have there an apk that you can download and install on your android
device. Then you'll add your .tc files to the Download directory and
load it in the TellicoViewer, and voilà ;-)

You can choose which columns to keep, images should load (I store them
externally and need to add the collection_files dir in the same
directory as the .tc file for it to work) but I have not tested
internally stored images.

In reality, it shouldn't be dangerous as it's only reading the .tc files
that are a copy of where you use them. So worst case, you'll have issues
with these copies. The app request a single authorization to read files
on your smartphone.

Of course,it's provided with no warranty at all, but hopefully it will be 
useful to some of you (as it seems it'll be for me !), in which case send 
praises to Claude, if not, create bug reports, and I may fix them,
depending on how I can reproduce them. (using the emulator of the
android sdk + adb logs was ery useful for Claude to fix issues).
