Seems fine here in v3.3.5 of Tellico (running in Debian testing).  Based
on the fact that Tellico hyphenated and split blocks without complaint.

I even tried to fool Tellico into thinking the number was invalid by
entering a blank space in the string gadget first.  Nope, Tellico knew
better and simply deleted the white space.
