Will Taglib ever support MKV and derivative file formats?

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if ttaglib will ever support MKV and its derivative file formats?
It's quite popular, at least to embed audio-video streams. It's just weird that taglib doesn't support it yet. Is there any plan to include it as a supported format?
