currently, we are officially providing AppImage builds of the latest version 
of RKWard:

the reason for this confusing state is the current lack of support for plasma 
6 in some distributions, while the development of RKWard has moved to that up-
to-date branch of KDE and we don't have the resources to support both, plasma 
5 and 6.

so for the time being, the AppImage is what we recommend to use. hopefully 
this is a transitional phase until automatic packaging for these distros 
becomes available again. but given that kubuntu LTS was just released with 
plasma 5, it looks like the AppImage builds are likely to stay with us for a 
couple of years.
