Error in RK() : Graphics API version mismatch

Hi,
first of all, thanks for creating RKward!

I recently did a fresh install of my system (Linux Mint 18 MATE),
installed R 3.3.2 and RKward 0.6.5 (from
https://launchpad.net/~rkward-devel/+archive/ubuntu/rkward-stable-cran).
Whenever I try to plot something, I get an API mismatch error:

Error in RK() : Graphics API version mismatch

I presume these mail in rkward-devel (
https://mail.kde.org/pipermail/rkward-devel/2016-May/004605.html ) is
relating to the same issue, but I don't really see how to solve this
having used the latest ppa packages. Can you please help?
