[rkward-users] rkward as a scripting ide

Hello, i'using rkward mainly as a scripting ide, and i have some questions.

first, i have experienced some weird behaviour when it comes to
changing focus from script editor to console to graphics device, etc,
where the cursor would be blinking on the script editor, but rkward
would not be in editor mode, so some shortcuts don't work. long stroy
short, sometimes i expect to be able to ctrl-c, alt-tab, ctrl-v,
shift-f7 and have a block of code pasted and ran from another window,
but instead rkward gets all confused, and starts complaining that
ctrl-v is ambigous or what not, and i have to dismiss the warning,
force the program to unfocus the editor and then refocus it in order
for it to get into editor mode and be able to use kate's shortcuts.

is this normal?

second, every time i start rkward, i rearrange the gui in order to
have file and env explorer on the left side, script/help/output/nav in
the main window, and console and log on the right side. having to
rearrange by hand everytime is getting old rather quickly. is there
any form to save this configuration as default layout?
