Once you have "cleaned up" the mess [*], try installing R from the
instructions here:
http://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu/

Then try installing rkward from Meik's repository, see here:
http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/rkward/index.php?title=Binaries_and_Build_Scripts#Unofficial_Ubuntu_repositories

(you should use the "rkward-cran" flavor described under "KDE4
Version" subheading)
