Hi Thomase,

please find my answers below.

This reproduces the crash.

I get an application crashed message. Find screenshots attached.

It takes around half a minute for the crash to occur after clicking the
browsing button.

Find screenshot of network drives layout attached. I have access to all
drives, but some servers are located at remote sites resulting in a rather
slow network connection to those drives if that's relevant.

Sure. Screenshot attached. When I click on home it does not show my
C:/documents and settings/myusername folder, so I have also attached a
screenshot of that directory (named my "real home"). (Note I have blurred
filenames, if you need the unmodified screenshot I can send it to you
directly.)

My notebook is quite silent and the work environment is loud, so I can't
tell. Is there a smart way to check other then listening to the hard
drive?

CPU always <8% during the delay. A short peak up to 20% right before the
dialog comes up.

File -> Import -> Import format -> Import Text format / csv data ->
browse button is how I open the dialog. If I only close the file dialog,
and then click the browse button again the dialog comes up directly.
However, if I also close the Import Text format dialog and then reopen it
the file dialog takes a long time to come up again.
