as you have just found out, current released versions of RKWard do not work 
with R 2.14.0(alpha). You can use the development version 
(http://p.sf.net/rkward/svn), or the current preview release of 0.5.7 
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/rkward/files/Under_Development/). As a Ubuntu 
user, you may also be interested in our PPAs: https://launchpad.net/~rkward-
devel .
