hi,
i have even more packages for you to try 8-) before i add these to the wiki,
i'd like to have some feedback if they actually work for you.
i've added packages compiled against the recent CRAN version of R (2.9) for
ubuntu 8.04 (kde3 + 4) and 9.04, and built a package for 8.10 as well (CRAN is
still missing there, i must first prepare a new qemu image for that). this
should cover most use cases for ubuntu, i think:
### packages for ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty jackalope)
## rkward-0.5.0d-test1 (kde4)
# for official ubuntu packages of R:
deb http://reaktanz.de/deb/rkward jaunty main
# for CRAN packages of R:
deb http://reaktanz.de/deb/rkward-cran jaunty main
### packages for ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid ibex)
# rkward-0.5.0d-test1 (kde4)
# for official ubuntu packages of R:
deb http://reaktanz.de/deb/rkward intrepid main
# for CRAN packages of R:
[yet to come]
### packages for ubuntu 8.04 (hardy heron)
## rkward-0.5.0d-test1 (kde4)
# for official ubuntu packages of R:
deb http://reaktanz.de/deb/rkward hardy main
# for CRAN packages of R:
deb http://reaktanz.de/deb/rkward-cran hardy main
## rkward-0.4.9b-test1 (kde3)
# for official ubuntu packages of R:
deb http://reaktanz.de/deb/rkward-kde3 hardy main
# for CRAN packages of R:
deb http://reaktanz.de/deb/rkward-kde3-cran hardy main
hint: you need only *one* of these, depending on your installation...
please let me know if you run into problems, but also if it works! it should,
actually, they all worked on their own test system. but i'd like to have some
field testing to feel comfortable.
