One problem on my 64-bit home machine (Debian/Sid/amd64) which has
been there for a long time: the workspace browser does not list the
variables in .GlobalEnv(). I will take this up in a different thread,
so more information there.. I'll do so when I get back home tonight.

I am not aware of the techincal difficulties, so just a passing
suggestion: Should it help to use 'captcha codes' during the new user
registration as is done on many sites these days?

As I had mentioned a long time back, I volunteer to so some of the
weeding stuff :( Let me know the procedure...
