Well, the problem is here:
I (by default) keep the code window open with a default pixel height of 300! 
So that squeezes out the height from the main plugin UI window! If I set the 
default so that code window to not shown with every GUI or when it is shown 
but the default height is small (like 100) then everything looks fine. So, I 
guess there is some amount of tussle going on between the code window and the 
GUI window for screen height!

I don't know whether there is any proper solution to this other than me 
changing the default behavior of the code window.
