Already done (as far as possible). Unfortunately, SF does not allow to insert 
a prominently visible text on the main download page. The release note refers 
to the Binaries and Build Script section of the Wiki, however, and it is 
listed, there.

Any better ideas on how to make this info more visible to users are welcome.
