Yes. Although one think I'm planning to do is to add more generic support for 
import/export plugins. I a way, so selecting the file(s) to open / objects to 
save does not need to be reimplemented in each plugin.

If you want to write an spss import plugin right now, it still would not be a 
waste of time, however, as probably only some light modifications would be 
needed to use it in the generic approach, later.
