Hi Thomas,

the following command gives a blank line:
# php5 -r 'echo (ini_get("open_basedir") . "\n");'

Many thanks dor this *tar.gz : configure; make and install are now possible.

Now I have a pop-up that says: "The PHP-backend has died unexpectedly. The current
output buffer is shown below:" with the following debug info:

Note: The errors are the same After downlowding the files "php.ini", "Makefile.am",
and "phpbackend.cpp" from sourceforge

Trace: phpbackend.cpp - function PHPBackend line 31
Trace: phpbackend.cpp - function initialize line 47

Remark: When rkwark is launched I have the followning warning but it seems not
to be related with the current problem:

christo at bureau:~/tmp> rkward --debug-level 5 --debug-flags 64
