Thanks for your quick reply - it works like a charm.
After 12 years in windows, I find Ubuntu so easy to use compared to XP - so
far at least. I've only been on this 'dope' since yesterday (well, and 2-3 weeks
researching howto). I'm already doing part of my professional work in Ubuntu
now.

r-gnome does not seem to work correctly yet - reinstalled but no luck - but
it is really not important, I'll figure out eventually.
