Hi 
I have been using R on windows for for some years (since v1.6/1.7). I'm in a
transition to linux. One major reason for this move is the existence of rkward.
I have started out with Ubuntu (with Gnome) as it seems very accessible to a
'winholic', and I am extremely pleased. I have installed R and am now researching
rkward.
I am an absolute linux newbie so my question may be obvious. I did some searching
for rkward + gnome but the results lead me to believe that this might not be
possible.

My question: Can rkward be installed under Gnome? If the answer is yes, I will
probably need a newbie friendly instruction on how to do it.
