Hi all,
RKWard development has slowed down a bit since the last release, since other
things have been taking up much of my time. However, development is still
making progress and today I released version 0.2.9.
The new release has relatively few "visible" changes. Internally, however, the
data editor has been reworked almost entirely. The benefits are that it
should be better prepared to deal with large amounts of data. Also, it can
now handle R factors, and the bug with the "type"-field being almost
impossible to edit has been fixed.
A few further bugs have been fixed, too, and I started turning to the
plugin-infrastructure again. For the next release I plan some major changes
there. Most importantly, I plan to make it possible to define "components"
that can be reused in different dialogs. In the mid-term, BTW, it will also
be possible to define such components in pyQt or similar.
Also, the next release will have support for creating some R graphs. The real
solution to graphing will have to be different from that, using e.g. XmGrace
or other graphing solutions you suggested, but it will do for some eye-candy,
I hope.
Well, as usual, I'd be glad if you could give the new release a try and report
bugs/suggestions etc.
Thomas
